Here a bit of background on this great American Band.

The Eagles music came into being back in 1970 on the encouragement from Linda Ronstadt. The group then became her backup band. A few years later The Eagles saw their first #1 hit in 1975 with the song "Best Of My Love". .

The band broke up as a group for nearly 15 years from 1980 to 1994. Just prior to their breakup, their Eagles Live record was mixed by Henley on one coast and Frey on the other coast. They had some issues between them.

As they've stated in their 60 Minutes Interview, they had to learn to get along. You can see that interview from the clips located in the right hand menu.



Don Henley and Glenn Frey are the only two original Eagles members when the band started back in 1971. Don Felder joined the group in 1974 and played right up until 2001. He left the band and then sued his former band mates and they, in turn, counter sued him. All was settled out of court in May 07.

Timothy Schmit became an Eagle in 1977 and played until 1980 when the group took their long 14 yr vacation until 1994. He re-joined Henly, Frey, Felder and Joe Walsh and they remained a 5 pc until Felder left in 2001.

The album "Long Road Out Of Eden" came out in Oct 07 and according to Don Henley, will likely be the last Eagles album. You read more on The Eagles band at wiki.
