Below are some tips on songs by The Beatles how to play Its Only Love. The song was written by
John Lennon for the most part and was recorded in 1965. Below is an acoustic demo along with some
free tabs available for download.
The Beatles never released this song as a single. In fact John Lennon thought it was one of the worst songs
he'd ever written, at least what he told Playboy during an interview in 1980. Paul McCartney wasn't a big
fan of the song either, but it made for a good filler song.
So if you've never really heard this song before, I wont be surprised. It's easy for this song to get lost in the sea
of top Beatles songs.

Here are the chords you'll need for this song. It starts in C and moves to an Am in the beginning. Once
the first verse kicks in you'll see me playing C, Am, B note, A#, F, G and as Gaug. When playing the B note
Im also play the bottom E string on the 3rd.
There is only a quick hammer-on sequence that happens during the into. You'll hear it again when moving from
the F to the G chord during the verse. Its basically a lift off of the C chord with the index and middle finger
and then a hammer-on to the B and G strings before moving to the Am, where I do another lift with my ring finger.

Songs By The Beatles How To Play Its Only Love Rhythm
When I start this song it's pretty much a steady dn-up-dn-up and you simply add in the hammer-ons as discussed
in the full version tutorial. Once we get into singing, the same pattern can still be used.
But what I do is add in a quick shuffle dn-dn-up-dn-up .. dn-up-dn-up where the first segment is a quick shuffle and the
second section is a steady pattern.
The end of the song repeats the same pattern as in the beginning. I end on the C chord with my baby finger
on the bottom E string on the 3rd fret.
