How To Play Take Me Back And Try Me One More Time by Merle Haggard
On this page I'd like to explain to you how to play Take Me Back And Try Me One More Time by Merle Haggard. Check out my acoustic
demo clip and grab some free tabs in the lower right hand menu.
This song was written by Ernest Tubb and Merle Haggard recorded a version of this song. He released this song
on the album "The Way I Am" back in 1980. The song was never released as a single but the album did peak
at #2 on the country charts.
The song has an interesting delay on the third line of each verse but its a simple song to play. Im not
exactly when Ernest Tubb wrote the song.
There is a picking riff in the beginning and middle of the song and would be easier if there were two guitars,
but as you'll see in my demo, you can pick this one with a single player ad still make it sound ok.
All of the picking and riffs in this one are fully explained in the full version instructional tutorial.
Take Me Back And Try Me One More Time by Merle Haggard Kirby Style
This song is played in C, C7, F, G or G7. As I said, a simple standard country tune.
And I've added a few walking bass lines between the chords as you'll hear in the Merle Haggard version as well.

How To Play Rhythm For Take Me Back And Try Me One More Time
This one you can play a note-dn-note-up-dn -- note-dn-note-up-dn all thru the song. There are a few runs
as you move between F and G chord and the C to the G7 chord.
The original recording uses a bit of keyboard (I think) orchrastration which adds a fullness to the song. Not
much can be done here with one guitar.
