Now you might have thought, like I did when I first saw this title, that this was a re-make of the song written
by George Harrison called "Something". But in fact the reverse is true.
Taylor was going to call this somg
"I Feel Fine" but the title was already taken by The Beatles. So he went with his second choice.
George Harrison liked the title of the song so much that he used it as the first line in his yet to be completed
song called "Something." Keep in mind that this was 1968 and Taylor was recording in London under the Apple
label along side of The Beatles.
This was James Taylor's debut album when it was released in the UK in later 1968 and in the US in Feb 1969. George
Harrison and Paul McCartney both performed on the song "Carolina In My Mind" which was a single from this album.
But it did poorly because Taylor was battling drugs and was unable to properly promote the album with public
appearances.
Something In The Way She Moves was never released as a single but it was re-recorded along with Carolina In My Mind
for Taylor's 1976 Greatest Hits album.

It's best to grab the free tab to follow along with this one. There is no lead break but is a song that should
be played via finger-picking. But Im simply using a pick for my version.
There are a few suttle things to watch for like hammering on the B string from an open while playing the A Chord.
Also in the verses where it moves from a C to the D chord and then does a bottom string hammer on and a walking
bass run on the C-B-A- to the G chord. I fully explain all of these in the full instructional tutorial.

How To Play Rhythm For Something In The Way She Moves
What Im really doing here is for the most part playing a steady up and down while plucking a few strings in the
middle of the fretboard .. in combo with a few hammer-ons in key places.
You could do the same thing without
plucking any strings. Just strum it until you get the chord changes nailed down .. then do some plucking.
Wtach for the last line in the chorus ... he stays on the Bm but plays an E in the bass. Or you could go to
an Esus.
