How To Play Knee Deep by Zac Brown

Knee Deep is the third single from Zac Browns second album called "You Get What You Give". Jimmy Buffett sings the second verse on this one. The video shoot was done in Careyes, Mexico.

This song is a good fit to have Buffett appear because this is his type of song.

The song was written by Wyatt Durrette and Zac Brown, who each wrote a verse and Brown the melody. But the chorus was giving them trouble. So they called on Jeffrey Steele, a well known hit songwriter in Nashville to help out, which he did.



The result was another #1 hit song from The Zac Brown Band.



This song Im playing with a capo on the 3rd fret. The chords are C, F, G, Am, G7, C7, A7 and D7. There is one intro picking riff that is used is a few places throughout the song as well as at the very end is a second riff. This one is a bit tricky because when you start off with the intro riff, it's easier if you play 1 downstroke and 2 upstrokes as you move thru that section. I use a bit of a shuffle as I pick my way thru this intro.

Once you get past that, it is a simple note-dn-note-up-dn-up ... note-dn-note-up-dn-up pretty much for the rest of the song.
