Welcome to this page on how to play Fire by Bruce Springsteen. You'll also find the lyrics and tabs to this one in
the bottom right hand corner and some other Bruce Springsteen resources.
Its hard to believe that Springsteen waited almost 33 years to release this song after he'd written it in 1977
and recorded it in Dec 1978. But that's what happened.
A live version was released as part of the Live 1975-85
album ... but that original 1978 recording was not released until 2010 on the album "The Promise".
A little known fact ... Fire was written for Elvis Presley as a tribute to the King of Rock And Roll.
Springsteens single peaked on the pop charts at #46. Several artists covered the song but The Pointer Sisters had the highest chart with their version in 1978 at #2
on the Pop Chart and a #14 position on the Soul Chart.

How To Play Rhythm For Fire
One song here that could be played entirely with downstrokes. In a few spots you'll see me do a shuffle patten, mainly
when doing a walking bass from the G chord to the C chord.
In the chorus you can do a sliding C chord by sliding
on the A string up to the 7th fret and playing the bottom 4 strings on the 5th.
