This is a great song, and on this page Im going to explain how to play Bring Me Some Water By Melissa Etheridge.
Melissa Etheridge has been around the music business since she was a teenager in the mid 70's playing in all male
country bands. After leaving the Berklee College Of Music in Boston in the early 1980's, she headed out to
Los Angeles to get a music career started.
You've heard the old saying "right place at the right time". Well one of women in the bar that night was married
to music manager Bill Leopold who helped Etheridge get more exposure. One thing led to another and by 1988, her
first album, "Melissa Etheridge" was slated for release.
Just four days before release, her record company rejected the final product, So in four days, changes were made
and her first album spawned the single "Bring Me Some Water".
How To Play Bring Me Some Water By Melissa Etheridge Kirby Style
Chord wise this is a pretty simple song. Im using a G - F - C - D and a D7. In the beginning parts of the
verses you can hammer on the D string and catch the B string on the first while on the G chord. And on the
C chord, grab the bottom string briefly on the first string.
Further on in the song we move from the G chord, to an Em and F, but just on the Bass. The the Am chord and
up to the C chord. The hardest part is singing this one fron a guys point of view.
