The band Fleetwood Mac, was formed in London back in 1967. The name came from an instrumental track that was named by then member Peter Green. He called that track Fleetwood Mac.

The bands first album did well in Britain but had no tracks released as singles. Strangely enough, one track on that album, "Black Magic Woman", became a later hit for Carlos Santana.

George Harrison from The Beatles and Mick Fleetwood were brother-in-laws (both of their wives were sisters).

While all members of the band were going thru marriage problems in the mid 70's, they all contributed individual songs and one collaboration as a group. The end result was the 1977 album "Rumors", which has sold over 30 million units globally and one of the top rock albums of all time.
