not common. While on a Spanish holiday and enjoyig the moonlight, he was inspired to write this song.

This song dates all the way back to 1931. But in 1972, Cat Stevens made it his own and took the
song to #1 on the easy listening chart. Luckily for Stevens, he heard Rick Wakeman playing a piece
of music that Wakeman was going to record but was persuaded to use the parts for Morning Has
Broken.
