Over the past 25 years since their inception in 1983, Bon Jovi has sold over 120 million albums worldwide. Bon Jovi's hit, "Who Says You Can't Go Home" was supposed to be recorded with Keith Urban and not Jennifer Nettles.

But Bon Jovi realized that their voices were very similar and decided to go with a female partner instead for the recording and video.

The band Bon Jovi holds the record in the rock world for having the most top 10 songs from one album, which is 5. This came from their "New Jersey" album of 1988 and sent them into superstardom. The tracks were "Bad Medicine" (#1) and "I'll Be There for You" (#1), "Born to Be My Baby" (#3), "Lay Your Hands on Me" (#7), and "Living in Sin" (#9).

Here is something you may not know about the Bon Jovi biography story. When he got out of high school, he worked part time in a womans shoe store. I wonder how many time got hit on by the young ladies? He had also been playing in several different startup bands in bars and clubs as a minor. I can relate, as I was playing bars at age 14.

Richie Sambora, lead guitarist for the group, actually toured with Joe Cocker before signing on with Bob Jovi. He also auditioned for the rock group KISS .. and never made it? That was my reaction also ... no offence Ace!


In the early part of their career, Bon Jovi opened for such acts as ZZ Top, The Scorpions and eventually KISS and the group was also the first North American Rock Act to perform in Russia in 1989.
