There is also some old Segar video footage as well as sheet music, dvd's, music books and more. Below is a brief summary on the Bob Seger legacy.

When Bob Seger started out his career in music, his influences came from Little Richard, James Brown and Elvis Presley. He also has said that most musicians in his era have a connection to Van Morrison, which is very likely.

He quit the music business after having a #17 hit with Ramblin Gamblin Man and went back to college because a few of his albums failed to chart in those early days. But were are sure glad he never satyed in college for long.

Seger of course began his musical career in Detroit and in the late 60's in Detroit, met and became good friends with another future rock icon, Glenn Frey of The Eagles. The Eagles huge hit, "Heartache Tonight" was actually co-written by Bob Seger.

Seger had a breakthrough of sorts with the release of his "Live Bullet" album in 1976 and he did play before 80,000 fans at the Silverdome in Pontiac, MI. But a few nights before in Chicago, he was playing in a Chicago bar to less than 100 people. Hard to imagine.

Bob Seger Biography

Kenny Rogers fans may not know this but his hit with Sheena Easton, "We've Got Tonight", is actually a Bob Seger song. I should do a tutorial on this tune because the Bob Seger chords in his version are pretty simple. Hummmm ...

One of Bob Segers songs, entitled "Shakedown", was his only #1 on the pop charts, but the song was to be recorded by Glenn Frey. When Frey lost his voice before the recording session, he called Seger who stepped in and the rest is history.

Part of the Bob Seger biography involved unfortunate incident with the Canadian RCMP when he crashed his truck in 1997 after running off the road in Nipigon Ontario. He was charged with drunk driving for the incident.

Today Bob Seger lives in West Bloomfield, MI and also owns a home and property near Good Hart MI, where 6 people were murdered back in 1968. I wonder if he has any paranormal activity going on on the property?
